Last updated: 16 July 2026. CinéLive respects your privacy and keeps the processing of personal data as limited and transparent as possible. Below you'll find what data we collect, why, for how long, and what rights you have.
Who we are
Data controller: CinéLive BV, registered office Zilverenberg 6, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. Company number: BE 1039309765.
For all questions about your personal data: privacy@cinelive.be.
What data we collect
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address, chosen subject and the content of your message. Delivered via our mail infrastructure (Resend) to the relevant CinéLive inbox (marketing, press or business, depending on your choice).
When you subscribe to a ticket alert
Your email address, the city or cities you'd like to be notified for, and the relevant production. Stored with our email provider Brevo. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email.
When you browse our site
Our server logs your IP address, browser type and requested page on every visit (server logs kept for 30 days for security and debugging). If you consent via the cookie banner, we also place cookies for statistics and marketing. Details in our cookie policy.
Why we process this data
Only for the purposes you provide it: to answer your question, notify you when tickets open, keep the site secure and functional, and improve our content and marketing based on anonymised statistics.
Legal bases
For the contact form and ticket alert, we rely on your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) and on the performance of your request (art. 6.1.b).
For server logs and essential cookies, on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functional (art. 6.1.f).
For analytics and marketing cookies, on your consent (art. 6.1.a), granted or refused via the cookie banner.
Who receives your data
We share your data only with service providers that help us run the site and communications. Each operates under a data processing agreement and complies with the GDPR:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting. Data transfer to the US takes place under EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- Sanity.io (Denmark/EU) — content management.
- Resend Inc. (United States) — sending transactional emails from the contact form. Under EU SCCs.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SA, France/EU) — managing the ticket alert list and mailings to subscribers.
- Google Ireland Ltd. (Ireland/EU) — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, only with your consent for statistics.
- Hostinger (Lithuania/EU) — hosting of our mailboxes.
We never sell your data to third parties and do not share it for purposes not stated in this policy.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our providers (Vercel, Resend, parts of Google Analytics) process data in the United States. For those transfers we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. This ensures a level of protection equivalent to that within the EEA.

- Ticket alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, or at most 24 months without activity.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): at most 14 months.
- Marketing cookies (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn if enabled): between 6 and 24 months, details in the cookie policy.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
